Welcome to Lose It Center.

With one third of our population overweight, it is time for all of us to start paying attention.

The cost to each of us personally and to our families is horrendous. Our obese society raises the cost of medical care for all of us.

The cost to our self esteem, health, sex life and our overall well being is tremendous. Coronary heart disease, diabetes, Cancers such as breast and colon, hypertension, stroke, liver and gallbladder  are a few of those that are connected to overweight.

I have been overweight most of my life.

When I was younger I was able to control my weight with exercise. When I finished school and my years in the army with the 82nd I started to put on  weight.

For a while I was able to control it by running 5 or 6 miles every day, but life got in the way. Now I have very little time for exercise.

I tried a lot of diets.

Yes diets do work, you lose weight for a while and than you give in to your cravings. Most diets limit you in such a way that you are doomed to fail. It is not that they don’t work, it is that you can’t stay with them forever.

What worked for me?

As I studied the Keto Diet I found that it was something I could build my life around. Plenty of good food, It reduced my appetite and gave me a clearer mind.

Keto may not be for you. Each of us are different and require different solutions. What I found about the Keto system is that it can be modified for every taste and you never have to be hungry again.

After a short time your cravings for sugar goes away and you start to want more healthy foods.

We all need to invest in others.

When we find something that is really good we need to share it with others.

Our friends and neighbors have the same problems that we have. So let’s all get involved with helping people that we meet that have weight problems or ailments that are caused by being overweight.
